Real Estate Staging is the process of preparing a home to be sold. How you live in a home and how you market a home to be sold are two very different things! There fore  staging in NOT interior decorating. There is no point of reference for them to judge the size of the space. That is one reason it is so challenging to sell a vacant house. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Virtual staging is not doctoring up web site photos to make buyers think the house is something that is isn't.&lt;br /&gt;When a buyer visits the home it is still empty. But displayed in the home, on what&amp;nbsp;I like to call Inspiration Boards, are computer renderings of the room with furniture and accessories. Along with a scaled floor plan showing the furniture placement and sizes. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now the buyer&amp;nbsp;has help to visualize how big the space is.&amp;nbsp;In a master bedroom for instance,&amp;nbsp;they can see that the room rendering shows a king size bed and nite stands, and how they fit in the room. &lt;br /&gt;Renderings are styled to fit the styling or architecture of the home. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"&gt;This is one area of my staging business I would like to expand. But many of the real estate agents and sellers I have spoken with lately still don’t know or understand what staging is and how it can help them sell houses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what is Real Estate Staging?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. The process of setting the stage and preparing a house to be sold. This process may include de-cluttering, de-personalizing, making repairs, moving, rearranging or placing furniture and accessories. Staging is transforming someone’s home, a very personal space, into a house, a neutral and depersonalized sellable product. How someone lives in their house is very different than having a house that will show well in the real estate market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Staging is merchandising a homes best features, making a house more marketable. Real estate staging should be part of every sellers and listing agents marketing plan. Staging prepares a house to make a good presentation. Staging makes a house stand out form the competition and gives it a real competitive edge.
